Films and video entered in the Salem Amateur Horror Film Festival may be completed in any format (digital video, film, video).  The festival now accepts short and long program films and videos. Each short film or video must be 40 minutes or less.  All other entries must be at least 40 minutes in duration.

The Films
Each film or video's genre must be able to be catagorized as horror.  This is a wider range than one might think.  Any storyline, visuals, or concept that could even remotely give an audience a scare, everything from disturbing avante garde to traditional slasher films, should be included.  Creativity is important as is technical execution.  For more on the judging process, visit the awards section of this site.
